Ouimette was pleased with his accomplishment. 'I'm just going to be focusing on playing more and more poker games. I've been doing it full time for three years now and I've learned from the best players in the world, so I am pretty confident,' he said.
Ouimette's win in this particular event is notable because he was up against a fairly strong poker professional as Amarith Keo was his opponent. What's more, Amarith Keo had the chip lead and was maintaining without any trouble for several hours of play against the Windsor player. Eventually, Justin Ouimette had to go all in based on an Ace in his hand to stand a chance to win the Canadian Poker Classic. Justin Ouimette took in a total of $66,000 as the prize money. 'I knew once I saw the ace come up in the turn, I was in pretty good shape,' he said.
